These trips, however, have also led to an increase in remote assistance calls due to the fact that there is not always a veterinary medical service in these places, or such services are far away.
Many times in these remote areas, not only is veterinary service scarce, but also in emergencies it can sometimes be hard to find a store near enough where one can find basic medical supplies. For this reason, like when one has children, owners should carry basic supplies with them for their pets. However, we have seen that this does not always happen, which then makes it very difficult to provide remote help if there are no supplies on hand.
